gallery 3 countries, 2 friends, 1 adventure! Our second tour of the trip. This time with a company called Creston Valley Tour Co. This stop was a lovely estate winery, of which we sampled some wine, of course. Winston at our first actual tourist visit in Ferrnie BC. He LOVED the dog bone pool one block into our walk. This was great as he had the rest of our time to dry out! Beautiful sunset picture at Heidi’s with one of her Canadian horses in the forefront Barb & I at Heidi’s farm at Pincher Creek Alberta. Can you believe the size of the feet, or shall we say the feathers !! Heidi was a great host ! And here she joins us with her two dogs, Luke & Lea These 5 photos are from Creston, Kootney Meadows Farm. The cheese manufacturing was part of the dairy operation. Highly sophisticated where the milk from the cows automatically went into the building where they made the cheese. The dairy operation equally sophisticated also provided a high level of care to these animals as you can see in this picture there was a whole area dedicated to Moms and cattle that needed special care. To provide an example of the sophistication of this farm, the Collars on each cow/calf shown here measured everything. Health, food intake, milking status IE: did the cow milk today or not, the opening and closing of gates to make sure the cows were only allowed where they These cows are so civilized A nice private place for new moms and their little ones What you need to watch for with Safiya…look before you close cupboards, drawers, storage areas…..and apparently the safe in the RV I don’t know why I am not allowed to drive… A line we all know……Are we there yet???? I am exhausted from reading my ebook…… Tilapia with fresh beet greens and rice. Tilapia done in brown butter and black garlic. It was awesome! Dinner at the hotel, BBQ steak/potatoes with black garlic. Along with a salad and bottle of wine! Cherries picked at the winery Columbia Gardens Vineyard and Winery where we boon-docked. Well worth the overnight stay! Barb’s lunch in Fernie BC where Winston and Safiya joined us on the restaurant’s outdoor deck. Safiya in her knapsack and Winston just loving life drying off from his dip in the dog bone pool. Lori’s lunch in Fernie BC How Barb, Lori, Winston and Safiya all keep hydrated…… My new little meditation spot and a GREAT place to cool off ! My new favourite place too! Barb and our 4 legged friends enjoying the shade of Brian’s (RV campground host) backyard on a very hot day Taco night!!! Who doesn’t love putting a taco together and getting messy eating it! Leftovers, steak, port, Yorkshire, peas and sautéed mushrooms/onion/zucchini. How does one clean the inside of the windshield?? By crawling/leaning/stretching/balancing on anything you can. It was a workout to say the least. While this pic doesn’t show Barb, believe me she was doing the same thing you see me doing here. Love the clever tents that people travel with And then there are the clever DIYs that piece together what looks like a rolled Class C into something somewhat liveable…. This is what happens when you roll in something you can’t quite see, but stinks anyway. I’m the only one happy here. Our new favorite Trail eatery! The Rustic Crust The pizza was amazing. We went for lunch and at 3pm through dinner they make their Pizza on a wood fire with super thin crust. We were here with B&M from Kelowna!
